The Oakland Raiders' thirteenth season was in 1972, and it was the fourth season John Madden served as the head coach of the team. The Raiders played their home games at Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum. They finished the year 10-3-1 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC West, but they lost their first playoff game to the Pittsburgh Steelers 13-7.
