The San Francisco 49ers' tenth season was in 1955, playing their home games at Kezar Stadium. During the offseason they hired Norman "Red" Strader to lead the team. During his time in the AAFC and NFL he was head coach for two years. They finished the season 4-8-0, 2-4-0 at home and 2-4-0 on the road.
