The Kansas City Chiefs' twenty-fifth season was in 1984, and it was the second season John Mackovic served as the head coach of the team. The Chiefs played their home games at Arrowhead Stadium. They finished the season 8-8-0, 5-3-0 at home and 3-5-0 on the road. At the end of the season, Bill Maas was awarded with the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
