The Buffalo Bills' twenty-first season was in 1980, and it was the third season Chuck Knox served as the head coach of the team. The Bills played their home games at Rich Stadium. They finished the year 11-5-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the San Diego Chargers 20-14. At the end of the season, Chuck Knox was awarded with the Coach of the Year award.
