The Buffalo Bills' twenty-eighth season was in 1987, playing their home games at Rich Stadium. During the offseason they promoted Marv Levy to lead the team. During his time in the NFL he was head coach for five years. They finished the season 7-8-0, 4-4-0 at home and 3-4-0 on the road. At the end of the season, Shane Conlan was awarded with the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
