The New York Giants' sixty-second season was in 1986, and it was the fourth season Bill Parcells served as the head coach of the team. The Giants played their home games at Giants Stadium. They finished the year 14-2-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC East, and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Denver Broncos 39-20, the team's fifth championship win. At the end of the season Bill Parcells earned Coach of the Year; Lawrence Taylor earned AP Defensive Player of the Year; and Phil Simms earned Super Bowl Most Valuable Player.
