The Los Angeles Rams' twentieth season was in 1955, playing their home games at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. During the offseason they hired Sid Gillman to lead the team. Gillman had never previously coached in the NFL in any capacity before the 1955 season. They finished the regular season 8-3-1 and continued to the postseason. They faced the Cleveland Browns in the playoffs and lost 38-14.
