The Pittsburgh Steelers' forty-first season was in 1974, and it was the sixth season Chuck Noll served as the head coach of the team. The Steelers played their home games at Three Rivers Stadium. They finished the year 10-3-1 in the regular season, en route to winning the Central, and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Minnesota Vikings 16-6, the team's first championship win. At the end of the season Joe Greene earned AP Defensive Player of the Year; Franco Harris earned Super Bowl Most Valuable Player; and Jack Lambert earned AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.
