The Pittsburgh Steelers' seventy-second season was in 2005, and it was the fourteenth season Bill Cowher served as the head coach of the team. The Steelers played their home games at Heinz Field. They finished the year 11-5-0 in the regular season and 4-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Seattle Seahawks 21-10, the team's fifth championship win. At the end of the season, Hines Ward was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award.
