The San Diego Chargers' twenty-second season was in 1981, and it was the fourth season Don Coryell served as the head coach of the team. The Chargers played their home games at Jack Murphy Stadium. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC West, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Cincinnati Bengals 27-7.
