The New Orleans Saints' first season was in 1967, playing their home games at Tulane Stadium. During the offseason they hired Tom Fears to lead the team. Fears previously was the wide receivers coach of the Atlanta Falcons and had eight years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the season 3-11-0, 2-5-0 at home and 1-6-0 on the road.
